Wedding ring

Wedding ring sometimes called as wedding band is a metal ring. Depending on the culture it is worn on the left or right hand ring finger. The wedding ring symbolizes the marriage the wearing of the wedding symbolizes the marital status. The custom of wearing the wedding ring was first started in Europe. Then it widely spread to many countries.

To design the wedding ring the jewelers generally use the yellow alloy of gold mixed with copper, silver, tin, and bismuth. Platinum mixed with white alloy of gold can also be used. Now a day’s titanium has become a popular material for making the wedding band. This material has now earning its importance due to its durability and affordability.

And tungsten carbide with gold and platinum is recently used for the wedding ring. The most least expensive material for making the wedding ring is the nickel silver. Some marriage couples also use stainless steel material to make their wedding ring. Silver, copper and brass are not used frequently to make the wedding ring because of their corrosive property.
